An Invitation to All
Rogue Writers (formerly Rogue Valley Wrimos) is hosting an event to remember the good times and lament the ending of the NaNoWriMo many of us knew.
Many of us grew up, grew older, or simply grew wiser alongside NaNo. It’s impossible to ignore the effects it had on all of us as communities and, importantly, as individuals. This event seeks to honor the time participants spent building communities, many that we as a group see coming to, if not an end, a significant transition point.
Public Offerings (Rogue Writers membership NOT required):
When? On the weekend of April 6th and 7th.
We are offering three sessions, each with identical offerings.
Where? Mostly on Discord. There will also be Google Meet options, streamed to YouTube.

Event Schedule
All activities are optional for you to pick and choose, and you may join or leave at any time.
There will be three sessions to cover as many time zones as possible. We don’t know how many people will attend, so we can’t predict each session’s duration. We’ve reserved 4 hour blocks for each session, but they may run much shorter.
- Session 1 : April 6th,10am Pacific/18.00 (BST)
- Session 2 : April 6th, 5pm Pacific/April 7th, 01.00 (BST)
- Session 3 : April 6th, 11pm Pacific/April 7th, 07.00 (BST)
Activities during each session:
- Secular/Interfaith Farewell Ritual (pdf) led by karalianne. You’ll need on hand a piece of paper, a pen or pencil, and a garbage can/bag.
- Farewell Statements and Circle Sharing. People are invited to share their memories, thoughts, and feelings about NaNoWriMo. A fairly free-flowing activity.
- Q&A discussion/brainstorming for how to encourage/develop individual writers’ groups moving forward.
- Play Time. Writing Games and Jackbox Games to emotionally decompress and bond over laughter!
We encourage all group leaders to also offer components privately for your members. Not everyone feels comfortable with participating publicly.
